Only 5 miles from Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh Showground and 5 miles from the Spa town of Llandrindod Wells, home of the Victorian festival, Orchard House is an ideal base for exploring the wealth of activities in the area. The market town of Rhayader, only 9 miles away, has the Elan valley on its doorstep with the reservoirs, dams and cycling network The delights of Hay on Wye, famous for it's literary festival and Llanwrtyd Wells, famous for World champion Bog-snorkelling, are both 20 minutes away. For outdoor seekers, activities in the area include walking, fishing, canoeing, mountain biking, golf, pony trekking and bird watching, looking out for the famous Red Kite, making Orchard House a must for a holiday to remember.
